Monthly Mini September 2023:
This month's pattern in the monthly mini series features this cute crocheted candy corn! This fun project only took me about 20 minutes to work up and was a big hit among my children and their friends.
Mini Candy Corn Crochet Pattern

ABBREVIATIONS:
BLO = Back Loop Only
CH = Chain
FLO = Front Loop Only
INC = Increase (Increase = 2 SC in same ST)
SC = Single Crochet
DEC/SC2TOG = Single Crochet 2 Together Decrease
SL ST = Slip Stitch
ST(S) = Stitch(es)

CH 9
Round 1: 1 SC in the 2nd CH from the hook and in each ST to the end of the foundation CH row. Turn, and work 1 SC in each ST on the backside of the foundation CH row to the end. (16 SC made)
Round 2: (1 INC in next ST, 1 SC in next 7 STS) Repeat x 1. (18 SC made)
Round 3: 1 BLO SC in each ST around. (18 BLO SC made)
Round 4: 1 SC in each ST around. (18 SC made)
Round 5: (1 SC2TOG DEC next STS, 1 SC in next 4 STS) Repeat x 3. (15 SC made)
*Change yarn color to orange to start Round 6.
Rounds 6-7: 1 SC in each ST around. (15 SC made, each round)
Round 8: (1 SC2TOG DEC next STS, 1 SC in next 3 STS) Repeat x 3. (12 SC made)
Round 9: 1 SC in each ST around. (12 SC made) *Begin to gently stuff the candy corn with fiberfill stuffing now. Change yarn color to white to start Round 10.
Round 10: (1 SC2TOG DEC next STS, 1 SC in next 2 STS) Repeat x 3. (9 SC made)
Round 11: 1 SC in each ST around. (9 SC made) *Complete stuffing the candy corn.
Round 12: (1 SC2TOG DEC next STS, 1 SC in next ST) Repeat x 3. (6 SC made) Fasten off, leaving a tail of yarn for sewing.
Using the tail of yarn left for sewing, thread the yarn needle and weave the candy corn closed by whip stitching in and out of the front loops only of Round 12. Pull gently to close. Weave in the yarn tail and trim away any excess.
