Add the Face & Stuff
Place the 12 mm safety eyes between Rounds 5 and 6, spacing them approximately 3 stitches apart. Add white eye details if desired, secure the safety backs, and stitch a smile using black yarn.
Apply a small amount of blush to the cheeks for extra personality.
Firmly stuff the lemon with fiber fill stuffing.
Round 9
DEC around. Do not join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. (6)
Stem & Closing
Fold a brown pipe cleaner in half and gently twist it to create a stem approximately 1 inch long.
Thread the yarn tail onto a yarn needle and weave through the front loops of each stitch around the opening. Insert the stem into the center opening and pull tightly to close the lemon.
Secure the yarn and weave in any remaining ends.
